Management believes that a community bank can offer personalized services, which gives customers the option of dealing with responsive personnel at the community bank, who are authorized to make decisions for the customer. In management's opinion, small business and consumer markets represent a solid market niche for a locally managed and operated community bank in Rocky Mount.
